How to play the word scramble game
- Choose a level. Easy words have 4 or 5 letters, medium have 6, and hard words have 7 to 9.
- Pick Relaxed to play at your own pace, or Timed for a 60-second challenge.
- Type your answer and press Enter. A correct answer brings the next scrambled word straight away.
- In timed mode, your best score is saved in this browser so you can try to beat it.
Word scramble tips
- Find common endings. Look for -ING, -ER, -ED, -LY and -TION and set them aside.
- Pair consonants. Letter pairs like TH, CH, SH, ST and BL often go together.
- Place the vowels. Try putting a vowel between two consonants to sound out syllables.
- Shuffle the tiles. Seeing the letters in a new order often makes the word pop out.
