About this tool
Quick answer: Step 1, choose your trip type, nights and weather, and tick international, flying or kids if they apply. Step 2, type your own must-pack items, one per line. Step 3, press Make my packing list. Step 4, press Print or save as PDF and stick the sheet where you pack.
How to use the travel packing checklist maker
- Step 1: describe your trip. Choose holiday, beach, city break, business, cruise, road trip, camping or winter trip. Enter the nights and the weather. Tick International trip for passport, visa, adapter and currency items, Flying for boarding and cabin items, and Carry-on bag only for the liquids reminder.
- Step 2: add your own items. List your medicines, your chargers and the things you always forget, such as sunglasses, a cap or swimming trunks. Leave Remember my items ticked and they come back next time, on this browser only.
- Step 3: make the list. Clothes are counted for the length of your trip. Tick Laundry where I stay and long trips are capped at about a week of clothes.
- Step 4: print or save it. Print one copy for your wardrobe door or suitcase lid, choose Save as PDF in the print window to keep it on your phone, or copy the list into your notes app. Tick items as you pack: ticked items print crossed out.
What to pack: the essentials for every trip
- Documents and money: ID or passport, bank cards, some cash, tickets and bookings saved offline, and emergency contacts on paper.
- Medicines: your regular medicines with a few extra days’ supply, prescriptions, and a small first aid kit. This is a general checklist, not medical advice: ask your doctor about travel medicines and vaccines.
- Gadgets and chargers: phone and charger, a cable for every device, a power bank (in hand luggage when you fly) and earphones.
- Clothes: one top and one set of underwear and socks per day, plus a spare, and layers for the weather.
- Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, skincare and sunscreen in travel sizes.
Packing lists for different trips
- International travel checklist: passport valid for six months or more, visa if needed, travel insurance, copies of documents, a travel adapter, an eSIM or roaming plan and a second bank card kept apart from the first.
- Cruise packing list: a dressy outfit for formal night, a light jacket for the deck, a lanyard for your cabin card, a day bag for shore trips and a travel sickness remedy.
- Beach trip packing list: two swimsuits, a cover-up, flip-flops, sunscreen, after-sun, a beach towel and a waterproof phone pouch.
- Business trip: work outfits, formal shoes, laptop and charger, business cards and your presentation saved in two places.
- Road trip: driving licence, car papers, a car phone charger, a first aid kit, downloaded playlists and a quick tyre and oil check.
- Camping and winter trips: the tool adds tent and sleeping gear, a head torch and water filter, or ski layers, goggles and hand warmers.
Things people forget to pack most often
Phone chargers and cables, medicines, sunglasses, swimwear, a hat or cap, toothbrush, socks, a travel adapter and earphones top most “I forgot” lists. That is why Step 2 keeps your own forgotten items and puts them on every list you make.
FAQ
Is the packing list maker free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up and no limit on the number of lists you make.
Do you see my medicines or other items?
No. The list is made in your browser and nothing is sent to QuickOnlineTips. If you choose to remember your items, they stay in this browser on this device, and Forget my saved items deletes them.

For seven nights, pack about seven tops, eight sets of underwear and socks, three or four bottoms and two sets of sleepwear. If you can do laundry, pack for about four days and wash once.
Can I use one list for a whole family?
Yes. Tick Travelling with kids or Travelling with a baby to add their items, or make one list per person and print them all.
