Gdrive is coming and Dropbox is now ready to give you more free Dropbox space to store your documents, photos, files and videos. Previously Dropbox gave users free 2GB storage space at sign up and you could refer friends to sign up and earn upto 250MB extra space per referral.
Free Dropbox Space
For example, we signed up for 2GB space and then earned lots of extra space over the next few months … but now Dropbox promises to give you 500MB per referral and upto 32 referrals, which means you can easily get extra free Dropbox space of 16GB, and add to the 2GB free space, you can easily get 18GB free space. Then of course you can top that with some more extra space by performing some tasks. Dropbox Pro users (paying $99 per year) are now promised 1GB per referral to earn a maximum free storage of 32GB!
Well we checked our referral stats and it seems we already referred over 70 users and exhausted our 16GB limit… so no more scope to top that.
Dropbox has by far been the most useful software on my computers as it seamlessly syncs files via the cloud across all my computers at home, work, mobile, laptops – while I can access all my files online also from anywhere across the world.
If you are using Dropbox for last few years, you could be stuck with an older verison, so remember to upgrade as older versions would not autoupgrade. I remember we needed to upgrade to Dropbox 1.0 and since then it is auto-upgrading to 1.2.52 right now.
