Fancy Text Generator: Cool Fonts to Copy and Paste
Type below and this fancy text generator shows your words in more than 20 cool fonts at once: 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤, 𝓼𝓬𝓻𝓲𝓹𝓽, 𝔤𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔠, ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ and more. Click Copy next to any style and paste it into your bio, posts, comments or game name.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to or stored on our server.
Quick answer: Type your text in the box, scroll through the styles and click Copy next to the one you want. Paste it anywhere that accepts text: Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Discord, WhatsApp or a game.
How does the fancy text generator work?
These aren’t real fonts. They are Unicode characters, the same standard that gives us emoji and letters from every language. Unicode includes complete alphabets of bold, italic, script, gothic (Fraktur) and double-struck letters made for mathematics, plus circled and squared letters. The generator swaps each letter for its fancy twin, so the style travels with the text wherever you paste it.
Fancy font styles
| Style | Good for |
|---|---|
| Bold and sans bold | Headlines in posts, names, making one word stand out on LinkedIn or X. |
| Italic and script | Elegant bios, quotes, wedding and event posts. |
| Gothic (Fraktur) | Gaming names, band names, a medieval or metal look. |
| Double-struck | A modern outline look; also used in maths (ℝ, ℕ). |
| Bubble and squares | Playful captions and usernames. |
| Wide (vaporwave) | The spaced-out aesthetic look. |
Tips for using fancy text
- Use it for a few words. A bold name or heading looks great; a whole paragraph is hard to read.
- Accessibility: screen readers may read fancy letters one by one or as maths symbols, so keep important details in normal text.
- Search: people can’t easily search for words written in fancy letters, so keep your main keywords normal in profiles and listings.
- Usernames: some sites accept fancy letters in display names but not in the @handle.
- Boxes instead of letters? The device or app is missing that character. Bold, italic and script work on almost all modern phones.
Fancy text ideas for bios and posts
- Instagram bio: put your name or brand in bold script and keep the rest normal, so the bio stays easy to scan.
- LinkedIn and X posts: these don’t support bold, so a 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝 first line can act as a heading. Use it for one line only.
- Discord and gaming: gothic and double-struck letters make a nickname stand out in a server list or lobby.
- Event posts: script letters suit birthday, wedding and festival wishes.
- YouTube and TikTok: a bold word in a comment or description draws the eye, but keep video titles normal so they show up in search.
Does fancy text work everywhere?
It works in most places that accept plain text, because it is text. A few apps and forms remove unusual characters, and older Windows apps may not show every style. Only letters A to Z and digits change; punctuation and accented letters stay as they are.
For tiny letters, use our small text generator. For crossed-out text, try the strikethrough text generator.
FAQ
How do I change the font on Instagram?
Instagram doesn’t let you pick fonts for bios, but you can paste fancy Unicode text from this page.
Is fancy text free to use?
Yes. The characters are part of Unicode, so you can use them anywhere.
Why are some styles missing letters?
Squares and black bubbles only exist for capital letters, so the tool converts your text to capitals for those styles.
Can I use fancy text in my name on Facebook?
Facebook usually rejects unusual characters in names, but posts and comments accept them.
