About the word list
The tool uses a broad English word list of about 274,000 words, including many rare and technical words. That makes it good for finding possibilities, but not every word is valid in every game. Official tournament dictionaries differ between North America and the rest of the world, and some games ban proper nouns, abbreviations and hyphenated words. When in doubt, check your game’s own dictionary.
Tips for word games
- Look for common endings: -ING, -ED, -ER, -EST and -S can extend words for big scores.
- Learn two-letter words: short words like QI, ZA, XU and JO let you play high-value tiles in tight spots.
- Keep a balanced rack: try to hold a mix of vowels and consonants.
- Wordle and similar: use Word length 5 with Contains for letters you know.
