  1. Thank you very much for this post. I was having some issues displaying my delicious links on my site’s footer, and several of your recommendations look good to do just what I want, not to mention the services that help clean the bookmarks up. I have far too many to always stay on top of them, so yes, thanks!!

  2. I’m looking for a “mediawiki” extension (the sw platform of wikipedia) to do a mashup between the wiki pages and a specific delicious content. In other words: having a wiki page, it would be nice to add a tag like “” to retrieve automatically the urls of that user, filtered by tags associated.
    Is there anything similar?

    thanks
    Toni

  3. Some of these links are out of date or link to services that no longer work. You might want to take some time to go through them and clean them out. Still, a very helpful post overall.

Is there a tool that does this? Am I totally missing the entire Social Bookmarking concept with this?

    Any help is most appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Rob

  16. I wrote desktop software (Simple del.icio.us Manager = SDM) in java to easly managing del.icio.us bookmarks. Please check this web page:

With this software one can type for example: ‘+astronomy -physics’ then it will be found all bookmarks which have ‘astronomy’ tag BUT which don’t have ‘physics’ tag. With ‘+’ and ‘-‘ one can search for exact tag names.

Other example: one can type ‘astronomy !physics’ and it will be found all bookmarks which have in url, description, extended or in tags such word like ‘astronomy’ BUT which don’t have such word like ‘physics’.

Check this program if you like.

    Cheers!

  18. Hi, a few days ago I wrote an Opera button/bookmarklet to post links to del.icio.us – there are already some, but I didn’t find one which met my requirements.

My button is simple an does the following:
    * opens a small pop-up window
    * fills out the URL field with the current URL
    * fills out the description field with the current page title
    * fills out the notes field with some text that maybe currently selected in the document you want to post
    * after posting the pop-up closes itself.

It’s kind of the same behaviour as the Firefox extension provided by del.icio.us.

You could find it at http://goetz.buerkle.org/delicious-opera
