  1. Thanks for the plugins. I’ll check out most of them. I need a plugin which displays my registered users tweets, but I think it isn’t hard to modify one of those plugins listed in your post.

  2. Great list of plugins for WordPress. Twitter is growing very quickly these days! Another useful tip would be to make sure to get a Twitter background for your profile. Take advantage of the space and even put your blog URL in your background. After all and image is more noticeable then a text link.

  3. Kewl that many plug-ins. I have several. one that shows the number of followers, I also have Tweetbacks on with my post, as well as, when I make my post it sends a Tweet to Twitter. I am sure as Twitter progresses with more services and such, there will be even tons more to come out. Thanks for posting this information.

But you know what I wanted for my site? Just a listing of all messages I wrote, and were written to me.
So I created ShowTweets, a twitter plugin, which is also opensource and available for others to use.
Anything that can be searched on the twitter site, can be displayed in the plugin.
You can check the documentation and installation instructions out at http://www.ongevraagdadvies.nl/showtweets-plugin/

Hope it helps out someone! :-)

  30. Interesting list. Hadn’t heard of TwitThis; it’s a bit like Tweet This which I created, except it uses JavaScript, whereas my plugin allows your readers to share your posts on Twitter with a TinyURL (or is.gd, Th8.us, etc.) created and stored in your WP database.

I was disappointed that most of the Twitter plugins are for displaying your tweets rather than facilitating the sharing of your content by others, which was the reason for Tweet This.

  31. I’m a big fan of TwitterTools and use it on a number of my blogs. Always helps bring traffic in too.

  32. Does anyone know how to pull in a tweet feed from a tweet feed search, for example, I would like to show all the tweets within a 1 mile radius from zip code 50309. I can easily do this on twitters website but haven’t found a plug in to get this information into my sidebar nicely.

  33. TwitterSplit turns your everyday twitter post links into “lasso” links keeping your traffic close to home and helping you promote anything you like atop your externally linked pages. Increase your followme conversions too.

    .

    1. theme for your blogs; as always, if you choose to modify this theme in any way, I would appreciate it if you could keep my credits in the stylesheet and a link in the footer. I still have plans to release my own colour modifications

  34. I use twittertools on my wordpress mu installation. its amazing with a nice tumblelog theme like t2!

  35. If you have a WP blog and need some timely, relevant content, my new tool Twitterdoodle can automatically add posts to your blog based on twitter keyword/keyword phrase searches.

  36. Unfortunately Twitt-Twoo works only with PHP5 – I hope there will be a workaround soon…

    1. There is a good work around for the problem, in fact it totally fixes it. Run PHP5. PHP4 is EOL’d and no longer supported.
