Recently Amazon India opened the Amazon.in store and started selling books and movies at discounted prices, with the very popular cash on delivery option. Now the entire range of Kindle reading devices is available online starting June 27. The basic model of Kindle is also available for sale on Croma stores across India for quite some time now for Rs. 6,000. Of course you could buy a Amazon Kindle in India through the Amazon.com store as well, but many models were not available for shipping to India.

This is a good move by Amazon to sell its entire range of the very popular Kindle reading devices and is sure to boost sales of Kindle in India, as it not only provides a range of various devices, but also will save on import costs, shipping and handling charges.

If you check out the latest pricing of the Kindle devices – Kindle paperwhite for Rs. 11,000, Kindle paperwhite 3G for Rs. 14,000, Kindle Fire HD for Rs. 16,000 and kindle fire HD 8.9 inches for Rs. 22,000. I’m sure they will be sold out very soon. It seems you cannot reorder Kindle right now, but can only sign up for the alert notifications.
