Skype Preloaded on SanDisk Cruzer U3 Smart Drives
July 10th, 2006 | Filed under Gadgets, Tools.SanDisk, the world’s largest supplier of flash memory card storage products have announced that Skype users can now make free calls and chat on almost any PC without having to download software as the Skype software will now come pre-loaded on SanDisk’s newest Cruzer Micro and Cruzer Titanium lines of Skype-certified U3 enabled smart drives.
A Skype release says -
The new drives will display the Skype logo on the packaging and will feature one free month of Skype voicemail for the mobile user to get messages from their Skype calls even when on the go. The SanDisk Cruzer Micro with Skype preloaded is available at retail outlets in U.S. and Europe, including Skype’s online store.”
“Skype is one of four productivity software tools bundled on SanDisk’s newest Cruzer Micro and Titanium flash drives. The U3 technology provides a resident environment for applications that operate directly from the flash drive. Other U3-compatible programs on the SanDisk drives offer anti-virus, file synchronization and password management functions. U3 applications work with any PC using Microsoft Windows XP or 2000 operating systems.”

I have had three of the 512 mb Cruzers fail within the last five weeks.
What is the problem with your usb storage devices.
I am tired fo spending money and loosing memory.

sandisk land cruzer is a good pendrive with various features and thing it has it own antivirus and own password protection system

Just got the Cruzer Micro 4gb with skype preinstall ..
Turns out the drive is formatted as two partitions, one (apparently) for the U3-stuff.
Not my cup o’tea so I decide to repartition as one drive, the extra fake-CD partition REALLY annoys me.
Everything is fine until I plug it back in .. still got TWO partitions. Turns out I cannot even get rid of the files on that extra 5.44mb partition. I do not want it. how do I get rid of it?

i still face a problem with my usb falsh . it’s sony marked 4G .the problem is that files cannot be rendered from it or been read .
