Apple has launched the new fourth-generation iPod nano, which claims to be the thinnest iPod ever, with a sleek new design, a curved aluminum and glass enclosure, and available in nine vibrant colors.
The new Genius feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius Playlist for you, just like your very own personal DJ. Inspired by the Sony Erricson shake to shuffle feature, the built-in accelerometer does it all – now when you shake your iPod nano, it shuffles to a different song in your music library! So don’t be surprised when you see someone vigorously shaking their iPod nano, they just don’t like the current track.
iPod nano has games – check out the Maze, which lets you work your way through vast mazes by tilting and moving. Find more games on the iTunes Store. Tilt or turn iPod nano on its side, and you’ll listen, watch, and play in new ways. Simply flip through your album art with Cover Flow. Simply hold iPod nano upright and see your photos in portrait view, turn it on its side to see them in the landscape. Enjoy the high-resolution pictures on the 2-inch widescreen display.
The new iPod nano gives 24 hours of music playback or four hours of video playback. You can buy music, video, and games for your iPod nano from the iTunes Store with more than 8.5 million songs available for preview and one-click purchase.
Buy the new iPod nano in the 8GB model for $149 and 16GB model for $199. Both models come in silver, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, pink, (PRODUCT) RED and black.
